This was written for psp 9 but will work in other versions.
For this tutorial you will need
Paint Shop Pro
Plugins
Pentacom

Download Here and place them in your PSP Preset Shapes folder.

Ok we are ready to start.

Step 1:
Open a new image 600 x 600 pixels and flood fill with white.
Select your Preset Shapes tool and set your Line Width to 4.
Set your Foreground to Black and your Background to Null.
Find your AltemusBordersFour - Y Preset Shape and draw out a shape to about 400 x 400 pixels.
Go to Objects - Align - Center in Canvas.
Convert to a raster layer.
Activate the DarrenHiles_InTheBeginning image and colourize to match your tube.
Go to Edit - Copy. DO NOT close this image but minimize it for use later.
Back on your original canvas select your Magic Wand with the following settings
Tolerance = 10 - Feather = 0 - Mode = Add/Shift
and click inside each of the 4 main shapes.
Go to Selections - Modify - Expand by 2
Add a new Raster layer and go to Edit - Paste Into Selection.
Deselect and move this layer beneath your Preset Shapes layer.
Hide your white background layer and Merge Visible.
Step 2:
Click on the top Squares layer to activate it and then select your Preset Shapes tool again.
Locate AltemusBordersFour - f.
Change the Line Width to 2, Leave your Foreground on Black and change the Background to Pattern and locate the colourized Darren Hiles image.
Draw out a shape like the one below and position it like mine.

Go to Objects - Align - Vertical In Canvas and convert to Raster layer.
Duplicate this layer and go to Image - Mirror.
Right click on the top layer in the layer palette and choose Merge Down.
Rename this layer Spikes and duplicate.
Move the duplicate beneath the original Spikes layer.
Step 3:
Go to Image - Resize - 80% Bicubic and all layers selected.
Then go to Image - Canvas Size - 600 x 600 - Center in Canvas.
Activate your Spikes layer and go to Selections - Select All - Float - Selections Modify - Contract by 2.
Go to Effects - Penta.com - Color Dot with the settings shown below.

Deselect.
Activate your copy of Spikes layer.
Change your Foreground and Background to a light colour from the image.
Go to Effects - Toadies What Are You - X-dose and Y-dose set to 13 and click ok.
Apply the same effect to the copy of Squares layer.
Then apply Penta.com - Dot and Cross with the settings shown below.

Apply the following Drop Shadow to the original Spikes and Squares layers.
Vertical = 0
Horizontal = 0
Opacity = 50
Blur = 6
Colour = Black.
Step 4:
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer - layers arrange move to top.
Resize to fit the image. Add a Drop Shadow of your choice.
I used Loka 3D - Flat Faint Shadow.
Select your Text tool. Font Knitwits - Size 72 - Foreground Black - Background White - Vector Selected.
Type our your name and then go to Objects - Align - Center in Canvas.
Convert to Raster layer.
Select your Magic Wand with the same settings we used earlier and click inside each of the white areas in the name.
Go to Selections - Modify - Expand by 1
Copy and paste the DarrenHiles_InTheBeginning image as a new layer. Use your mover tool to line up the part you want to show in the text then go to Selections - Invert and hit Delete on your keyboard.
Go to Selections - Invert again.
I then applied Eye Candy 5 Glass.
Under settings choose Clear - No Drop Shadow.
Under Basic change the bevel width to 9 and click ok.
If you don't have Eye Candy 5 you can use Eye Candy 3 or 4 Glass or an Inner Bevel of your choice.
Deselect.
Click on the top layer in your layer palette and Merge Down.
Add the following Drop Shadow
Vertical = -4
Horizontal = 4
Opacity = 50
Blur = 4
Colour = Black.
Add the artists credits not forgetting to add Darrens credits too Render © Darren Hiles, www.opticalsorcery.com, DHFTU and your watermark.
Hide the white background layer and crop to size.
Save as a jpg.
