PLEASE NOTE: None of my tutorials or Scrap Kits are allowed to be used for tags being bought by My PSP Tubes or for any other form of monetary gain. This goes against the artists TOU that I use for my tuts and against my TOU.
For this tutorial you will need
Paint Shop Pro
Filters Unlimited 2
A Font of your choice
I used Epcot Center which is a pay font so I cannot supply.
A Tube of your Choice
NOTE: I used both the image and the tube.
I am using the excellent artwork of Deacon Black. You can purchase a license to use his
work from CILM.
Ok we are ready to start.
REMEMBER TO SAVE OFTEN
You can drag this arrow down the page with you to keep your place in the tut.
Script provided by Dynamic Drive.
Step 1:
Open a new transparent image 600 x 600 and fill with white.
Select the tube (and image if you have one). It can be done with just the tube, if you dont have an image you can use.
Activate the tube and go to Edit - Copy.
Minimise these for the moment.
Set your Foreground colour to one from your tube and your background colour to any colour you like - we shall be using the filter in a moment, so the background colour doesnt matter.
Select your Preset Shapes set to Ellipse - Anti-alias and Create as Vector ticked - Line width: 3.
Draw out a circle using the above tag for a guide as to the size.
Now go to Objects - Align - Centre in Canvas and then convert this layer to a raster layer.
Step 2:
With your Magic Wand click inside the Ellipse.
Go to Edit - Paste - Paste as New Layer.
When happy with the positioning of the tube, go to Selections - Invert and then press the Delete key.
This will get rid of any excess tube outside of the Ellipse.
Go to Selections - Select None.
Activate your Ellipse layer.
Select your Magic Wand and click inside the ellipse.
Go to Effects and select the Filters Unlimited 2 filter.
In the left box click on Render, in the middle box click on Clouds (white/blue) then click Apply.
Go to Selections - Select None.
Duplicate this layer.
On your original layer, go to Image - Resize.
I resized with a width of 700 to make it just that little bit bigger than the top layer, giving the ability to put the following effect in place.
Still on the resized layer go to Adjust - Blur - Gaussian Blur - Radius: 20.
Step 3:
Activate your Image (or tube if you don't have an image) and go to Edit - Copy.
Now to your smaller circles.
Using the same colours as you did for the main circle select your Preset Shapes - Ellipse - Anti-alias and Create as Vector ticked - Line width: 3.
Draw out a small circle using the above tag for a guide as to the size.
Convert to raster and duplicate 4 times for a total of 5 small circles.
Position the circles.
With your Magic Wand click inside the first smaller circle.
Go to Edit - Paste - Paste as new layer and position to your liking.
When happy with the positioning of the image/tube go to Selections - Invert then press the delete key.
This will get rid of any excess tube outside of the ellipse.
Go to Selections - Select None.
Repeat the above step for the remaining circles.
Step 4:
Add the following Drop Shadow to all the circle layers.
V + H = 0
Opacity = 80
Blur = 10
Colour = Black
Add the artists copyright and your watermark.
I put my copyright details around the circle.
To get your writing going round the circle set your Foreground to black and background null.
Select your Preset Shapes and use the Ellipse again with a line width of: 1.
Draw out a circle around the outside of the main circle. Go to Objects - Align - Center in Canvas.
While the layer is still a vector layer select your text tool and position your cursor on the newly drawn thin circle.
Hover it over the circle till you see an angled A (an A with an arc under it) then write in your copyright details.
To get rid of the black outline circle click on the small + symbol next to the vector layer wording in the Layer Palette, then click on the eye symbol next to the Ellipse wording.
Now convert to a raster layer.
Add your name using a font and colours of your choice.
Step 5: Animation
Open Animation Shop.
Now to animate the smaller images.
A quick way to find and select the image you want, especially useful when you have a lot of layers on your list, is to use the Move tool.
If using a version of PSP lower than 10, I select the Move tool, then gently click on the image needed. This saves you having to look through all your layers in turn. (PSP 10 and above show a preview of the layer on the list).
Once you have selected your first smaller image go to Adjust - Brightness and Contrast - Brightness/Contrast with settings of 20 for both brightness and contrast.
Go to Edit - Copy Merged.
Over to Animation Shop.
Right click the mouse and click on Paste as New Animation.
Back to PSP.
Use the Undo Last Command button to get rid of the Brightness/Contrast effect on your first circle.
Select your next circle and do the same as you did for the first circle.
Go to Edit - Copy Merged.
Over to Animation Shop.
Go to Edit - Paste - Paste after Current Frame.
Continue the above steps with your remaining small circles.
When you have finished with all your circles you should have 5 Frames in Animation Shop.
Go to Edit - Select all - Edit - Copy.
Right click the mouse on an empty piece of the canvas and click on Paste as New Animation.
Go to Edit - Select All then click on Animation - Reverse Frames - Edit - Copy.
Select your original animation.
Click on the last frame of the animation to activate it and go to Edit - Paste after Current Frame.
Click on View - Animation.
Then go to Edit - Save As. Keep clicking Next on the Optimization Screens until you see Finish.
Click that and your tag is completed.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial.
