Ok we are ready to start.
REMEMBER TO SAVE OFTEN
You can drag this arrow down the page with you to keep your place in the tut.
Script provided by Dynamic Drive.
Step 1:
Open a new 500 x 500 transparent image and flood fill with white.
First select two colours from your chosen main tube, a darker one for the Foreground and a light one for the Background.
Select your Preset Shapes - Ellipse, with a line width of 4, and draw out the circle. See above tag for guidance.
Go to Objects - Align - Center in Canvas and convert to Raster Layer.
Select the desired main tube and go to Edit - Copy.
On the circle layer, click the magic wand in the circle, so as you have the marching ants going round the inner circle, then go to Edit - Paste and paste your main tube as a new layer.
Go to Selections - Invert - Delete. This will get rid of all parts of the tube outside of the circle.
Selections - Selections None.
Apply the Xero Porcelain filter with the default settings to your tube layer.
Activate your circle layer.
With your Magic Wand click in the centre, as you did earlier.
Now to insert the 'to be faded' tubes.
Copy and paste on of the other tubes as new layer, and move to the desired position.
Go to Selections - Invert - Delete, as we did above.
Repeat with the second chosen image.
On your layers list, lower the opacity of the two images you've just inserted. I changed it to 62.
On the two images just inserted, give them the following Drop Shadow
Vertical = 0
Horizontal = 0
Opacity = 80
Blur = 10
Colour = black
Activate the main tube layer and apply Eye Candy Gradient Glow with a Glow width of 3.00, Soft Corners at 25, and Overall Opacity at 100, Colour: White.
Apply the same Drop Shadow we used on the other tubes to this tube.
With your Magic Wand click in the centre of the circle layer, as you did earlier.
Selections - Invert and activate one the the tube layers.
Press Delete on your keyboard to remove any drop shadow that went over the circle.
Repeat for both other tube layers.
Step 2:
Onto the background effect.
Make sure you're on the Circle layer and click in the centre of the circle with your magic wand.
Apply Penta Dot and Cross, using the default settings.
Then apply Toadies Blast 'Em! filter also using the default settings.
To finish off the effect, apply Penta Dot and Cross as before.
Selections - Select None.
Now to the reason for the tutorial name - the Golden Circles.
Select your Preset Shapes set to Ellipse. Foreground colour set to Metallic Gold 01 Gradient and your background shut off (Null). Line style set to Dot, with a width of 4.
Draw out a circle slightly bigger than the one you already have.
Go to Objects - Align - Center in Canvas and resize if necessary. Use my tag as a guide.
When you are happy with the positioning, convert this to Raster Layer.
Change the Line Style to Solid, Width 2, Colour Black (or the outer colour from your original circle) and draw out another circle slightly larger than the Dot one.
Go to Objects - Align - Center in Canvas and resize if necessary.
When you are happy with the positioning, convert this to Raster Layer.
For the final circle, just change the colour back to the Metallic Gold 01 Gradient, Width 4 and draw out another circle slightly larger than the last one.
Go to Objects - Align - Center in Canvas and resize if necessary.
When you are happy with the positioning, convert this to Raster Layer.
Step 3:
To do the curved copyright, use the Ellipse shape again, with foreground colour on black and background shut off (Null).
Draw a circle slightly larger than the gold solid line.
While still a vector layer, select your Text Tool, then position the cursor where you want the text to go. You should see an angle 'A', then write your desired text.
To get rid of the black outline shape, go to your Layer Palette, click on the little '+' sign next to the layer, then click on the eye symbol next to 'Ellipse'.
Once done convert to Raster Layer.
To finish off add your name as a new layer. I used Ephesis font, and also add your watermark, so everyone knows who created the work.
Hide your white background layer and Crop to size.
Step 4: Animation
Select your Dotted Line layer and apply Eye Candy HSB noise. Then select the outer solid gold circle and apply again.
Edit - Copy Merged. Open Animation Shop and go to Edit - Paste as New Animation.
Back in PSP Undo twice to get the tag back to it's original pre animated state.
Apply the Eye Candy HSB noise to each of those layers agan but this time click on the Random Seed.
Edit - Copy Merged.
In Animation Shop go to Edit - Paste After Current Frame
