This was written for psp 8 but will work in other versions.

For this tutorial you will need

Paint Shop Pro


A Font of your choice.

I used Adorable here

A Brush of your choice.
I am using one from I got from h-b-grfx.net when this tut was written.
You can find a huge selection similar to my one at My Adiction

A tube of your choice.
I am using the wonderful art of Scott Tolleson. You can purchase a license to use his work from CILM.

Ok we are ready to start.

Step 1:

Open a new image 500 x 500 transparent image.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer and resize if neccessary. Rename Tube 1.
Choose a dark colour from your tube for your foreground, background null.
Select your Preset Shape tool - Rounded Rectangle - create as Vector checked - line width set at 4.
Draw a rectangle around your tube.

Layers - Convert to Raster layer -rename this layer Rectangle.
On your layer palette turn off visability to your Tube 1 layer, this will make things a little easier to work with.

Step 2:

Making sure your Rectangle layer is active, use your magic wand and click inside your rectangle. Go to Selections - Modify expand by 2.
Add a new Raster layer and floodfill with white. Keep selected.
Go to Effects - Texture Effects - Denim using the settings below.
Denim

Keep selected.
Add a new Raster layer and rename this Tube 2.
Go to Edit - Paste into Selection (your tube will still be in memory).
Deselect and change the visability of this layer to 20.
Turn the visability back on for Tube 1 layer and go to Layers - Arrange - bring to top.
Activate Rectangle layer and go to Layers - Arrange - bring to top.
Use your mover tool to position the tube where you want it to go.
Add the following Drop Shadow
Vertical = 2
Horizontal = 2
Opacity = 85
Blur = 5
Colour = Black


Step 3:

Add a new Raster Layer - name this Brush. Move this beneath your tube layer.
Again select a dark colour from your tube for your Foreground and select your Paintbrush and find the brush you want to use.
Apply the brush to the top left hand corner of your image, add the same Drop Shadow used in Step 12.
Duplicate this layer and go to Image Mirror. Position the duplicated layer in the bottom right corner.
Merge all layers Visible.


Step 4:

Set your Foreground to a dark colour from your tube and the background to a slightly paler colour.
Select your text tool, choose a font or use Adorable with the settings shown below.
Text

Use your nodes to adjust it to your liking. Once happy with it convert to Raster layer.
Go to Image - Rotate - Free rotate - left - 20.00.
Add the following Drop Shadow
Vertical = 2
Horizontal = 2
Opacity = 75
Blur = 2
Colour = Black

Add your watermark and the artists copyright and merge all Visible.
Save as a jpg file, or take through to AS and save as a gif file.
