This tutorial was written by Rob on March 27th 2008. It's concept is copyrighted to Rob. Any creation you make from my ideas are yours. You may print out this tutorial for your own personal use, but please do not copy it in any way to put online, pass out or rewrite without my permission or worse yet attempt to claim as your own.

PLEASE NOTE:
None of my tutorials or Scrap Kits are allowed to be used for tags being bought by My PSP Tubes or for any other form of monetary gain.
This goes against the artists TOU that I use for my tuts and against my TOU.

For this tutorial you will need

Paint Shop Pro

Eye Candy 4000

A Font of your choice
I used Epcot Center which is a pay font so I cannot supply.

A Tube and Image of your choice.
The tube I am using is by Deacon Black. You can purchase a license to use his work from CILM.

Ok we are ready to start.

REMEMBER TO SAVE OFTEN

You can drag this arrow down the page with you to keep your place in the tut.
Script provided by Dynamic Drive.

Step 1:

Open the tube and image you want to use and minimize for now.
Open a new 600 x 600 transparent image and flood fill with white.
Select your Preset Shapes set to rectangle with the following settings.
Anti-Alias and Create as Vector checked - Line width: 3.
Set your Foreground to a colour of choice - I used #A6A2FF. Set your Background to any other colour as the shapes will be completely filled so it won't be seen.
Draw out the top rectangle - see my tag as a guide.
Go to Objects - Align - Horizontal in Canvas and convert to Raster layer.
Duplicate the rectangle layer you've just drawn and move to the desired position below the first one.
Draw out a third rectangle with the same settings but make it slightly thinner. Move it into position below the others - see my tag as a guide.
Go to Objects - Align - Horizontal in Canvas and convert to Raster layer.
Once satisfied with the positioning of all the rectangular slats, close off the background layer and merge visible.
Add the following Drop Shadow
Vertical and Horizontal = 0
Opacity = 80
Blur = 10
Colour = Black

Step 2:

Select your Magic Wand with the following settings. Tolerance: 0 - Feather: 0.
Click inside each of the 3 rectangles.
Maximize your image and go to Edit - Copy. Activate your main canvas and go to Edit - Paste as a new layer.
When happy with the positioning of the image go to Selections - Invert - then press the Delete key. This gets rid of any excess outside of the slats.
Do Not Deselect.
Maximize your tube and go to Image - Mirror then Edit - Copy. Activate your main canvas and go to Edit - Paste as a new layer.
Use your Move tool to move it into position so the part you want showing is in the selections and press the Delete key again.
Deselect and reduce the opacity of the tube to your liking, so as it blends into the image.

Step 3:

Activate your tube again and go to Image - Mirror to get it back to how it was originally.
Go to Edit - Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Position in front of the slats on the opposite side of the mirrored tube.
Go to Effects - Eye Candy 4000 and select Gradient Glow with the following settings.
Colour: White - Glow Width: 3.00 - Soft Corners: 25 - Overall Opacity: 100.
Add the following Drop Shadow
Vertical and Horizontal = 0
Opacity = 80
Blur = 10
Colour = Black

Step 4:

For the blurred background activate your chosen image from earlier and copy, then paste it as a new layer behind the slats layer.
Go to Adjust - Blur - Gaussian Blur - Radius: 10.
Then using your Deform Tool change the size of the blurred layer by using the small squares so that it shows between the slats. See my tag as a guide.

Add your name and the artists copyright details and save.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial.
