This was written for psp 9 but will work in other versions.
For this tutorial you will need
Paint Shop Pro
Animation Shop
Eye Candy 4000 Glass - Optional
My Pearl Hearts
Download HERE and open in PSP.
Masks by Chelle
Available at www.weescotslasscreations.co.uk.
Click on Navigate, then Downloads then download WSL Masks 169-180.
Open Masks 174 and 175 in PSP.
A Thick Font of your choice
I used Supermarkt Contour.
A Tube of your choice.
I found a horizontal one worked best.
I am using the wonderful art of Matt Busch. You can purchase a license to use his work from
CILM.
Ok we are ready to start.

Step 1:
Open a new image 600 x 600 transparent image and flood fill with white.
Add a new raster layer and flood fill with a darker colour from your tube.
Go to Layers - New Mask Layer - From Image and in the source window find WSL_Mask174.jpg.
Make sure Source Luminence is Checked and Invert Mask Data UNchecked.
Click on OK.
In the Layer Palette delete the Mask layer. Answer yes in the pop up box.
Go to Layers - Merge Group.
Copy and paste my Pearl Hearts as a new layer so it sits perfectly on top of the mask. Colourize to suit your tube.
Add the following Drop Shadow
Vertical = 2
Horizontal = 2
Opacity = 40
Blur = 5
Colour = Use the colour you used for the Mask layer.
Step 2:
Click on the white Background layer to activate it.
Add a new Raster Layer and fill with a lighter colour from your tube.
Go to Layers - New Mask Layer - From Image and in the source window find WSL_Mask175.jpg.
Make sure Source Luminence is Checked and Invert Mask Data UNchecked.
Click on OK.
In the Layer Palette delete the Mask layer. Answer yes in the pop up box.
Go to Layers - Merge Group and rename Heart Mask.
Click on the top layer to activate it and copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Resize if neccessary and move into position.
Add the following Drop Shadow
Vertical = 0
Horizontal = 5
Opacity = 40
Blur = 5
Colour = Black
Go to Image - Resize - 85% Bicubic selected - ALL Layers Checked.
Go to image - Canvas Size - 600 x 600 - Center Checked.
Step 3:
Select your Text tool.
Set your Foreground to the darker colour you used for your first mask layer and your Background to the lighter colour you used for the second mask layer.
Select a thick font of your choice, size 72 - Vector selected.
Type your name in Capital letters.
Use your nodes to stretch it out and then to to Objects - Align - Horizontal in Canvas. Convert to Raster layer.
Add an Inner Bevel or Glass preset of your choice.
I used Eye Candy 4000 Glass. Under settings I choose Ruby but then went to Basic and changed the glass colour from red to the background colour I used on my text.
Add a drop shadow of your choice.
Move the text layer below your tube layer on the layer palette.
Hide the white background layer and crop to size.
Resize if necessary and add the artists copyright and your watermark on a new layer.
If you choose not to animate, save now.
If you are animating, open Animation Shop.
Step 4: Animation
In PSP activate the Heart Mask layer and lower the opacity to 25.
Copy Merged and paste as a new animation in Animation Shop.
Back in PSP change the opacity of the Heart Mask layer to 50.
Copy merged.
Over in Animation Shop right click on the 1st frame and choose paste after current frame.
Back in PSP change the opacity of the Heart Mask layer to 75.
Copy merged.
Over in Animation Shop right click on the 2nd frame and choose paste after current frame.
Back in PSP change the opacity of the Heart Mask layer to 100.
Copy merged.
Over in Animation Shop right click on the 3rd frame and choose paste after current frame.
In Animation Shop click on Frames 2 and 3 to select them.
Copy and paste them as a new aniamtion.
Go to Edit - Select all (on the 2 frames) then to Animation - Reverse Frames.
Go to Edit - Copy.
On your original 4 frames click on the 4th frame to activate it and choose Paste After Current Frame.
You should now have a total of 6 frames.
Go to Edit - Select All and then Animation - Frame Properties and change the frame properties to 30.
Finally click on Frame 4 to activate it and change the Frame Properties of that one frame to 50.
