This was written for PSP 9 but will work in other versions.

For this tutorial you will need

Paint Shop Pro
Animation Shop

Eye Candy 4000
Corona

A Font of your Choice
I am using Boogie Nights NF available HERE.

A tube of your choice
The tube used in this tutorial is ©Rion Vernon.

My Masks
Download HERE
Unzip them and place in your psp masks folder.

Ok we are ready to start.

The Render version tag can be seen at the top and the Gradient version is at the bottom of the tut page.

Step 1:

Open a new transparent image 500 x 500 pixels.
Go to Selections - Select All and copy and paste your Render Into Selection.
IF you are using a gradient fill this layer with the Gradient of your choice.
Go to Layers - Load/Save Mask - Load Mask from Disk.
Use the following settings:


Right click on the Mask layer on your layer palette and Merge Group.
Save as a PSP file (somewhere you can find it easily), then open Animation Shop.
In Animation Shop open the saved PSP file.


Step 2:

Go to Effects - Insert Image Effect and choose Rotate with the following settings:


You should now have 11 frames in your finished animation.
Go to Edit - Select All - Copy and then paste as a new Image in PSP.


Step 3:

Rename the second from bottom layer Frame 2.
Rename the third from bottom layer Frame 3 and continie doing that until the layer palette looks like the one below.


Add a new Raster layer and fill with black. Move this layer to the bottom.
Activate the top layer and add a new Raster layer.
Go to Edit - Select All and copy and paste your Render into Selection OR fill with your gradient.
Selections - Modify - Contract by 8 - Selections Invert and fill the selection with black.
Deselect.

Apply an edge mask of your choice. I am using Edge Mask with the following settings:


Right click on the mask layer in the layer palette and Merge Group.


Step 4:

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer and resize to fit.
Add a dark Drop Shadow. I used
Vertical & Horizontal = 5
Opcity = 80
Blur = 5
Colour = Black

Duplicate the tube layer and apply Eye Candy 4000 Corona to the bottom tube layer with the following settings:


Select your text tool with the font of your choice. I am using Boogie nights NF with the following settings:
Size: 72 - Stroke Width: 1 - Bold: Selected - Vector: Checked - Foreground: Black - Background: Black.
Type out your name and use your nodes to stretch it to fit and position it so it looks like the tube is sitting on the name.
Go to Objects - Align - Horizontal Center in Canvas.
Convert to Raster layer.
Go to Selections - Select All - Float - Selections Modify - Contract by 3.
Copy and paste the Render into selection OR fill with your Gradient.
Deselect.
Add the following Drop Shadow
Vertical & Horizontal = 6
Opcity = 80
Blur = 3
Colour = Black

Apply Eye Candy 4000 Corona with the following settings.


Move your text layer below your top tube layer.
Resize as required making sure All Layers and Bicubic are selected.
Add a new Raster layer and move to the top. Add the artists copyright and your watermark.


Step 5:

Open Animation Shop if it isn't already open.
In PSP hide Frames 2 - 11.
Copy merged and paste as new image in Animation Shop.

Back in PSP hide Frame 1 and unhide Frame 2.
Copy merged and paste after current frame in Animation Shop.

Back in PSP hide Frame 2 and unhide Frame 3.
Copy merged and paste after current frame in Animation Shop.

Back in PSP hide Frame 3 and unhide Frame 4.
Copy merged and paste after current frame in Animation Shop.

Back in PSP hide Frame 4 and unhide Frame 5.
Copy merged and paste after current frame in Animation Shop.

Back in PSP hide Frame 5 and unhide Frame 6.
Copy merged and paste after current frame in Animation Shop.

Back in PSP hide Frame 6 and unhide Frame 7.
Copy merged and paste after current frame in Animation Shop.

Back in PSP hide Frame 7 and unhide Frame 8.
Copy merged and paste after current frame in Animation Shop.

Back in PSP hide Frame 8 and unhide Frame 9.
Copy merged and paste after current frame in Animation Shop.

Back in PSP hide Frame 9 and unhide Frame 10.
Copy merged and paste after current frame in Animation Shop.

Back in PSP hide Frame 10 and unhide Frame 11.
Copy merged and paste after current frame in Animation Shop.

Click on View Animation so you can see what it looks like and then save as a .gif.
