This was written for psp 9 but will work in other versions.

For this tutorial you will need

Paint Shop Pro

A Font of your choice.
I used Angelina available HERE.

Tube of your choice.
I am using the wonderful art of Barbara Jensen.
You can purchase a license to use her work Here.

A Scrap Kit of choice.
I am using my Winter Wonderland Scrap kit which is available to purchase at ScrappyDo!.

Masks of your choice.
I am using WSL-Mask6 and WSL_Mask38 by Wee Scots Lass, thank you Chelle.

Why not download them all while you are there as they are great. Unzip and place in your mask folder.

Eye Candy 4000 - Gradient Glow

Ok we are ready to start.

Step 1:

Open the Template in PSP. Press Shift D to make a duplicate and close the original.
Delete the Copyright Info layer and go to Image - Resize with the following settings:
PLEASE NOTE - You must change the resolution before you change the width and height.

Activate the Oval Shape layer and go to Selections - Select All - Float - Selections - Modify - Expand by 1 - Selections - Modify - Smooth with the following settings:

Open one of the papers from the kit - I used Monti-WinterWonderland-Paper4.jpg - and set your Foreground to the paper using Angle: 0 and Size: 50.
Fill the Selection and then go to Selections - Select None.
Add the following Drop Shadow
Vertical = 0
Horizontal = 0
Opacity = 40
Blur = 10
Colour = Black


Step 2:

Activate the Thin Rectangle 1 layer and go to Selections - Select All - Float - Selections - Modify - Expand by 1 - Selections - Modify - Smooth with the same settings we used earlier.
Open one of the papers from the kit - I used Monti-WinterWonderland-Paper1.jpg - and set your Foreground to the paper using Angle: 0 and Size: 50.
Fill the Selection and then Deselect by going to Selections - Select None.
Add the same Drop Shadow we used earlier.

Repeat this for Thin Rectangle 2 layer.


Step 3:

Activate Background 1 layer and go to Selections - Select All - Float.
Open one of the papers from the kit - I used Monti-WinterWonderland-Paper11.jpg - and copy this paper by going to Edit - Copy.
Activate the Template image and then to Edit - Paste - Into Selection.
Deselect.

Repeat this for Background 2 layer.

Activate Frame 1 layer and go to Selections - Select All - Float - Selections - Modify - Expand by 1.
Open one of the papers from the kit - I used Monti-WinterWonderland-Paper14.jpg - and set your Foreground to the paper using Angle: 0 and Size: 50.
Fill the Selection and then Deselect.

Repeat this for Frame 2 layer.


Step 4:

Activate Background 1 layer and go to Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Position it so you have the part you want showing inside the frame and selections.
Go to Selections - Invert and press Delete on your keyboard. This will get rid of the excess.
Deselect.
Add the following Drop Shadow to your tube.
Vertical = 0
Horizontal = 4
Opacity = 40
Blur = 5
Colour = Black
Rename Tube 1.

Activate Background 2 layer and go to Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat.
Activate your original tube and go Image - Mirror.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Position it so you have the part you want showing inside the frame and selections.
Go to Selections - Invert and press Delete on your keyboard. This will get rid of the excess.
Deselect.
Add the following Drop Shadow to your tube.
Vertical = 0
Horizontal = 4
Opacity = 40
Blur = 5
Colour = Black
Rename Tube 2.


Step 5:

Open one of my Triple Frames in PSP and go to Edit - Copy.
Activate Frame 2 Layer and paste as a new layer.
Go to Image - Resize with the following settings:
Size: 60% - Smart Size - All Layers: UNChecked.
Move it into position over Frame 2 and then go to Adjust - Sharpen.
Duplicate this layer and go to Image - Mirror.
In the layer palette move the duplicate frame down to just above Frame 1 Layer.
Move into position.
Add the following Drop Shadow to each of the Triple Frame layers.
Vertical = 3
Horizontal = 3
Opacity = 40
Blur = 4
Colour = Black


Step 6:

Resize your tag with the following settings:
Size: 80% - Bicubic - All Layers: Checked.
Activate your Crop Tool and crop the Image using Merged Opaque.

Then go to Image - Canvas Size and change the Width and Height to 700 pixels making sure in the Placement you have centre depressed.
Flood fill the background layer with white.
You might see a bit of Drop Shadow on your tags from your tube layers. If you do I will tell you how to get rid of this now.
Activate your selection tool set to Rectangle and draw a rectangle around all the stray drop shadow areas.
In the Layer Palette active Tube 1 layer and press Delete on your keyboard. Activate Tube 2 layer and press Delete again.
Deselect.

Activate the Background layer.
Open a paper of choice - I used Monti-WinterWonderland-Paper10.jpg - and copy and paste it as a new layer onto your canvas.
Go to Layers - Load/Save mask - Load Mask From Disk
Apply WSL_Mask38 with the following settings checked.
Source Luminance - Fit to Canvas - Fit to Canvas and click on Load.
Go to Layers - Merge - Merge Group.
Go to Image - Resize by 75% - Bicubic - All layers: UNchecked.

Open another paper of choice - I used Monti-WinterWonderland-Paper1.jpg - and copy and paste it as a new layer onto your canvas.
Go to Layers - Load/Save mask - Load Mask From Disk
Apply WSL_Mask6 with the same settings we used on the other mask.
Go to Layers - Merge - Merge Group.
Go to Image - Resize by 75% - Bicubic - All layers: UNchecked.


Step 7:

Hide your white Background layer and crop using Merged Opaque.
Now get creative.
Copy and paste any other elements you want onto your tag resizing each one (Smart Size - then Sharpen) as you go.

If you want to resize your tag do it now making sure ALL layers is Checked.
Add the artist's copyright and your watermark.
Activate the text tool and set your Foreground and Background to a colour of your choice.
Type your name using Angelina font with Vector selected. Move into position at the bottom of the tag and go to Objects - Align - Horizontal In Canvas.
Convert to Raster layer.
Go to Effects - PlugIns - Eye Candy 4000 - Gradient Glow and apply with the following settings:
Glow Width: 3 - Soft Corners: 0 - Overall Opacity: 100 - Draw Only Outside Selection: Checked. Under Colour select Fat and then change the colours to the ones shown below:

Add the following Drop Shadow
Vertical = 0
Horizontal = 3
Opacity = 33
Blur = 4
Colour = Black

Save your finished tag.
